About Us

Dawn trained at Reaseheath college before working at The Black Rose in Knutsford and Hale.

She started her own business in 2004 called Distinctive Designs, converting one of the barns at the farm into a flower shop. Being half a mile up a drive in a small village, we tried to offer something that other florists didn’t.

We pride ourselves on our flowers being good quality and not just your run of the mill chrysanthemums and carnations. Being open 7 days a week meant that Christening balloon functions could be delivered on the actual day. We decided to specialise on weddings, as we enjoy getting involved with the couple (and family), and coming up with ideas that are unique to them.

Being located by a canal we stock items that appeal to holiday makers, so selling local Jersey ice creams from Snugburys, cakes, biscuits and jams is a must. By now the business was growing and an opportunity to purchase Covent Garden Florist came towards the end of 2008. We took over the business on the 1st January 2009, changing the name to Distinctive Designs at Covent Garden. Since then the two shows have gone from strength to strength. The team now consists of Dawn, Mary, Barbara, Rachel, Katy and Tori. The team all have the same attributes, they care about what they do, are passionate about flowers, and are very creative. Without their hard work and support, Distinctive Designs and Covent Garden, wouldn't be the success that they are today.
